By offering a voice to the professionals and as a mediating organization, BBN works towards a better understanding of nightlife as a key element of Brussels’ cultural, social and economic interests. The federation plays an important role in tackling the many issues encountered by the sector and soliciting our public authorities for better night-time governance policies towards the audience needs.

Brussels By Night aims to ensure that Brussels nightlife remains a pillar of creative and cultural innovation. It offers advice and assistance to its members to deal with their problems. To do so, BBN creates tools and services for well-running their activities regarding topics such as harm reduction, employment, administration, public peace, mobility, event promotion, venues, etc.

The metropoles of the future often position themselves through the influence of their nighttime creative industries. Therefore Brussels By Night wants to enhance the role of Brussels as a key international nightlife hub. The federation works in close collaboration with the sector and other stakeholders to put forward strategies to promote a dynamic, modern and attractive local scene.

ABOUT US

Brussels By Night is a network (non-profit organization) whose mission is to highlight the nightlife sector and its actors such as clubs, promoters, night bars, concert halls and festivals within the Brussels-Capital Region and to provide a better night-time ecosystem for the people.

The idea of a Brussels nightlife federation was first raised in early 2020. Following discussions with the Brussels-Capital Region, the founders of BBN started contemplating the existence of a structure representing nightlife professionals. After months of meetings, including both the sector and the public authorities, it was decided to set up Brussels by Night, dedicated to becoming a representative union of nightlife professional players focused on the public needs. Today, on the one hand, Brussels by Night aims to promote and enhance the role of Brussels as a national and international key player in terms of nightlife and festivities. On the other hand, it accompanies the professionals and ensures the role of moderator between public authorities and the sector regarding various issues and challenges which the actors may face in terms of safety, public health, employment, mobility, law, administration, communication, etc.
